Into the deep

As I proceeded along the jogging path around Reservoir Lake, there was an old building (I think park management stores equipment in there?) near where the tennis courts are, and I couldn’t help but notice this stairway to… well… to nowhere in particular. Or maybe somewhere very specific, but I didn’t pack my snorkel gear in my camera bag on this occasion, so I’ll leave it to your imagination.

I processed this photo with my custom Lightroom preset Grayscale, Punchy followed by some slight cropping (mainly angle adjustment), exposure, black clipping, contrast and sharpening adjustment (mainly undoing some of the Punchy bits of the preset). Finally, I brushed in a subtly increased exposure on part of the water to add a little more contrast and accentuate the natural reflections.
