Just outside the apartment I was staying at during my trip, this old Honda was chained up to a post. It didn’t move the whole time I was there, and I suspect it hadn’t moved for years. Not that I can blame the owner – the seat’s certainly seen better days. I thought the bike had something special about it – it looked like it was once cool and the neglect it’s suffered has built character. Poor little fella.
Processing on this shot started once again with my custom Lightroom preset, Sepia. Then I used a series of brush strokes to paint a lower exposure into specific areas for added contrast and depth. Finally, I tweaked the tone curve (lowered dark tones, increased light tones), added a little extra highlight recovery, and slightly upped the exposure.
